We welcome everyone to our new Forum! This is a great way for all of you to connect with us and with each other! But first we want to lay down just a few ground rules.
Be courteous and respectful. We are a community of Catholics and we will not permit posts or behavior on this forum that are outside the bounds of Christian charity. Many of you are very frustrated right now, and for good reason. But don't take it out on others, or speak uncharitably of those who command our respect because of their position in the Church. You may post facts about these people, but any namecalling or derogatory remarks will result in your post being modified or deleted, and a warning issued. After three warnings, your account will be blocked.
Do not post Mass venues. At the present time, this can only be harmful, as most churches that are open are likely straining to serve their own parishioners under the current restrictions on gathering size. Please be patient.
Keep your posts brief and to the point. Do not paste entire articles from web sites into a post; link to its web address instead.
Links to promotional materials of any kind are not permitted, unless they are directly related to the topic at hand. Anything that may be construed as spam or commercial advertisement will be removed. Again, decisions on this will be at our discretion.
Don't post inappropriate material or links to such. This is a public forum representing a Catholic group. Inappropriate, offensive or blasphemous material of any kind will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to use our judgement to determine what falls into this category.
Respect others' privacy. Do not post others’ e-mail addresses, personal phone numbers, physical addresses, or private e-mails sent by them on the public forums.
Do not post material from unapproved private revelations.
Do not offer or solicit medical, psychiatric, psychological, or legal advice. Do not give advice that is contrary to civil law. Do not give advice to a minor that opposes the instruction of a parent or legal guardian. All such discussions should be directed to the proper authorities: parents, guardians, therapists, parish priests, or primary care providers.
Thank you for following these rules and we hope you will get good use out of this forum.
God bless,
The St. Charles Borromeo Society
